Kathryn Thomas is the Executive Director and founder of the nonprofit organization Yoga 4 Change as well as the Chief Executive Officer of ANAMAR Environmental Consulting, Inc.
Prior to leading two diverse organizations, Kathryn served in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator. Due to suffering a disabling injury while on deployment, Kathryn was medically separated from the United States Navy and began studying to become a Yoga teacher through the Yoga School of Kailua.
Upon moving to Jacksonville, Florida, she witnessed the need for mental, emotional, and physical healing in her new community and started Yoga 4 Change to fill this void. Kathryn has training across multiple yoga disciplines including Power Yoga, Chair Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.
As Executive Director of Yoga 4 Change, Kathryn currently leads the organization’s expansion across the state of Florida, as well as overseeing daily business operations including finances, fundraising, program development and she still teaches from time to time.
In her role as the CEO of ANAMAR, Kathryn is focusing on the business development of the company, while taking the administrative duties off the shoulders of the scientists and technical staff. She joined the ANAMAR team late in 2017, and is excited to expand the company’s reach in the coming year.
Kathryn resides in Florida with her husband, daughter and their wonderful dog.
